Creating My Website

Why create your own Website?

What made me decide to learn how to create my own website? My first website was so blah, boring and mundane with so much empty space on the pages that it looked like someone forgot to put any content in. It was all one color and very unappealing. Some things were hard to find making my customers frustrated. They contacted me on several occasions to express their frustration at wanting to give me a review, but the review tab was hidden within the Purchase a Book tab. A number of readers had already purchased a book and read my book and were afraid to go into that tab thinking they would be forced to purchase the book again. When I asked the company who built my website to change it, my request was ignored. This to me was not good customer service and when the annual fee for renewal was due I decided it was time to look at building my own website. I wanted to have control over my own site and be able to make changes whenever I chose to make changes, not have to wait and hope someone else would make the changes to my liking. I wanted a webpage that expressed more of who I am as a person and that was colorful, inviting and interesting. That’s when I stumbled onto a post on Facebook for Christina Hills “Website Creation Workshop”. This is a fantastic course and worth the price. I would highly recommend this course for anyone serious about building and having control over their own website.
